A Tradition of Trust

I have a degree in Economics with an Urban Economics concentration from Denison University in Ohio and was a teaching assistant in the sociology department.
With a practical background in marketing and management, I have pursued additional Realtor education designations including Accredited Buyer and Seller Representative and a Senior Real Estate Specialist. Through the Iowa City Area Association of Realtors, I received the Star Award for Professional Cooperation and trained to serve as an ombudsman. I have been proud to be a part of the Homebuilder’s Parade of Homes and at the same time have a love of vintage homes.
Dedicated to the community, I have been proud to receive the Governor’s Award for Volunteerism and several school district volunteer honors. I am a graduate of the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Program. As a patient, I have had the opportunity to experience the world class care available from the Holden Cancer Center at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Currently, I serve as a commissioner on the Johnson County Historic Preservation Commission, and on committees for Plum Grove State Historic Site and several local boards, fostering my sense of commitment and a passion for saving places.
My husband Bob is the fourth generation operating his family business; Ewers Men’s Store in downtown Iowa City. We are at home with two energetic, enthusiastic rescue terriers. Our daughter, Caroline, is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Education and is a teacher in Ankeny, Iowa, and our youngest, Sarah, graduated from the Tippie College of Business and has started her career in human resources in Des Moines.
